| Sunday 2nd November 2007 ProKart Solo Races Adults 45 Minutes Race 1 of 2 For race 1 tonight we have 14 adults competing. On lap 2, Fred and Simon Craig had a bit of a coming together. Fred managed to drive off just after it had happened. However Simon is pulled up on the grass as his back bumper is stuck fast on his wheels. So unless he can somehow get it off his wheels he isn't going nowhere for a while! 10 minutes have gone. Docky has made his way up from 11th place in to 1st place. 4 minutes later and Dave Marshall is in 2nd place, 0.56 of a second behind. Chris Woods is in 3rd, 0.55 of a second behind. Colin Thurnell has only done 12 laps and he is now out of the race as he has acquired a broken stub axle! Colin Powley has also only done 12 laps and is now in the pits as he has a bent stub axle! Apparently it was Richard's fault and that is why both Colin's are out of the race. On lap 19, Dave got the fastest lap of 36.12. They are now on lap 38 and Dave is now in 1st place. Docky is down to 2nd, 0.51 of a second behind. Charlie Haller is in to 4th place from starting down in 13th, unlucky for some. Pete Rodgers is doing well. He is currently in 7th place. This race is the first one that he has not had a crash and mucked the kart up so I should think he is pleased about that! Anyway there is now only 2 minutes of the race to go. Dave is still holding 1st. Chris has moved in to 2nd place, 0.08 of a second behind. 6th place Asbos is 0.29 of a second behind 5th place Steven Knowles. On the final lap, Chris just overtook Dave for 1st place. Chris took the chequered flag and won the race by 0.51 of a second. Great racing boys! Results for race 1 1. Chris Woods 2. Dave Marshall 3. Like always for the 2nd adult's race they are going backwards around the track. Simon is holding 1st place. He also holds the fastest laptime of 37.77 which was done on lap 3. On lap 6, Colin Powley got the fastest lap of 37.74. 5 minutes have passed. It has taken the top drivers roughly 7 laps to get back up the field in to the top 3 positions. Chris Woods is up in to 2nd, 0.09 of a second behind 1st. By lap 9, Chris had made it up to 1st. Dave is in 2nd, 1.43 seconds behind. On lap 11, Chris got the fastest lap of 36.85. Most of them are now on lap 16 and Colin Powley has made his way up in to 3rd place from starting way down there in about 12th. On lap 32, Dave got a new fastest lap of 36.63. 7th place Colin Thurnell is 0.32 of a second behind 6th place Richard. Let's hope Colin is a bit wary this time when he goes to overtake him! Asbos Andy had a bit of a crash so he is now out of the race with 20 minutes to go. On lap 58, Chris got the final fastest lap of 36.47. Time has passed quickly in this 2nd race and there is now only 4 minutes to go. Charlie Haller is in the pits having retired early. He was doing well too as he was in 4th place. 2 minutes to go.
