| Sunday 7th October 2007 1HR THUNDER LEAGUE Pole - Rookies This morning we have 9 teams competing. T.O.K.A are on holiday at the moment so we have recruited stand-in drivers, Sean Haller and Chris Woods. These two are more used to racing the more powerful twin engine prokarts. During the ten minutes practice, Kolumbian Karthel were the fastest team and they had the fastest practice lap of 48.95. 5 minutes have gone. Rapscallions are up to 1st place. T.O.K.A are up in to 2nd. Rookies down to 3rd. On lap 9, Kolumbian Karthel got the fastest lap of 48.36. Now 10 minutes have passed. Each and every team has now done at least one driver change which in turn means that the positions have all changed. Richard from Rookies had just got in his kart ready to go when he realised that he hadn't got a pit ball in his hand. So his team mate David had to run and get one. This lost the team precious time. On lap 14, Daniel Powley got the new fastest lap of 48.13. Half an hour has passed. Daniel is up in to 1st place. He is actually racing solo this morning as his unreliable team mate Micheal failed to turn up. Kolumbian Karthel are in 2nd, 15.26 seconds behind. In 3rd are Rapscallions, 5.66 seconds behind. 4th place are T.O.K.A, 9.64 seconds behind. 5th place are Whacky Racers, 9.99 seconds behind. 6th place Rookies, 7.32 seconds behind. 8th place are C.B.Posties, 29.67 seconds behind. Bringing up the rear in 9th place are Little Chris + Co, 27.36 seconds behind. Now 42 minutes have passed. Rookies David has just dropped his pit ball. Oh dear this team are obviously not with it today. It must be too early in the morning for them! Anyway not long to go now, Rookies are 1 second behind 5th place Whacky Racers. All the other teams are miles apart! On lap 57, Rapscallions Nick got down in to the 47 seconds, the only one to do so, with a 47.98. Results |
