| Sunday 20th May 2007 1HR THUNDER LEAGUE This morning we have 8 teams competing with us. Below is where all the teams started: Pole - Bluff + Blunders During the 10 minutes practice, Total Chaos was the fastest team out there. Their fastest lap was 45.75 and they were the only ones to be lapping in the 45 seconds. At 10am the 8 teams lined up on the grid for the start of their 1hr race. We have 2 new teams competing in this summer series. They are Shake N Bake and Anglo-Italian Racing. On lap one, Tom Arnold from Thomas Cook got up in to 1st place from starting down in 4th place. Team Total Chaos came in on the first lap to do an early driver change. Stu from Boomerang is up in to 2nd from 3rd place, 0.44 of a second behind. 5 minutes have gone. Tom is pulling away from Stu. Stu is now 0.69 of a second behind. Bluff + Blunders are down to 3rd place from starting up in 1st place. Little + Large are up from 5th in to 4th place. Terrible Twos have come up from 7th in to 5th place. Total Chaos are in 6th place because they did an early driver change. The 2 new teams are down the bottom end of the table but at the moment they are just getting used to it. Anglo-Italian Racing are in 7th. Shake N Bake are in 8th place. On lap 5 Jed from Total Chaos got the fastest lap of 45.28. 10 minutes have passed. Every team is now doing or have already done their first driver change. Total Chaos have moved up in to 2nd place as they are already one driver change up on the other teams. 5 minutes later and Charlie from Thomas Cook is still holding 1st place. But Merv from team Boomerang is in 2nd and right behind him. One little mistake from Charlie and it could cost him the lead! Now 18 minutes have gone by and Charlie is pulling away from Merv. Merv is currently stuck behind a backmarker and he is now 1.84 seconds behind Charlie. Bluff + Blunders new driver just took Tony from Terrible Twos out going down the straight for no apparent reason! Now we won't have any of that thank you boys! Then a bit later on, Little from team Little + Large got a weaving board for stopping faster driver Tony getting past him. Earlier on, on lap 10 Jed got the final fastest lap of 45.25. There are 17 minutes of the race left. Total Chaos are leading. Thomas Cook are down to 2nd, 1.25 seconds behind. Boomerang are in 3rd, 10.49 seconds behind. Now there are 3 minutes left. Despite Total Chaos doing different driver changes it hasn't given them the lead on a
plate! The answer is no! Jed from Total Chaos has just pinched the lead from Charlie - Thomas Cook. Charlie is now 0.34 of a second behind. So it is still close. Who is going to take the chequered flag? Jed took the chequered flag with Charlie behind him in 2nd, 0.46 of a second behind. |
