During the ten minutes practice, Nick from team Rapscallions was the fastest person out there. His fastest practice lap was 45.80. The race finally started at 10am. Bang on time! Luther from team Kolumbian Karthel shot in to the lead from his pole position starting
grid. Whacky Racers Wayne is up to 3rd on the first lap, from starting down in 5th place. Rapscallions are down to 5th. C.B Posties are holding their original start place which was 6th. At the moment the top 5 are all very close together. There is only 0. of a second between each and any of them. 6th place C.B.Posties are 1.96 seconds behind 5th place. 7th and 8th places are 0. of a second behind C.B.Posties Phil Read. On lap 5, Batty from team Batty + Ratty got the fastest lap of 46.73. Only 5 minutes have passed, but already so much has happened! On lap number 6, Whacky Racers Wayne overtook T.O.K.A's Big Dave for 2nd place. This obviously proceeded to drop Big Dave down to 3rd place. Now all of the 8 teams are close together. 6th, 7th and 8th places have now caught back up to the others in front. So if any one of them makes a mistake they will have had it! New boy Micheal from team Daniel + Micheal is trying his hardest to get by 6th place but to no avail. C.B.Posties Phil is giving him a run for his money! About 8 minutes have passed. Whacky Racers and Rapscallions have come in to do an early pit stop. 13 minutes have now passed. Rapscallions are in 2nd place. Whacky Racers are in 3rd place, 0.88 of a second behind them. Nearly 20 minutes have passed. 1st place team Kolumbian Karthel and 2nd place team Rapscallions are 0.0 of a second behind each other. How close is that?! I mean, can they get any closer without actually overtaking each other? At the 23 minute mark, Rapscallions Nick had to come back in to the pits to do a drive-thru penalty as he dropped a pit ball when he did his driver change. Now a total of 28 minutes have passed. Whacky Racers have somehow made their way up to 1st place. Kolumbian Karthel are in 2nd place, 6.18 seconds behind. Rapscallions are in 3rd, 5.04 seconds behind. Team T.O.K.A is still holding 4th place, which is good. On lap 36, Rapscallions Nick got a new fastest lap of 45.06. 38 minutes of the race have run, and not long left to go until the end of the race. Rapscallions are now back in the lead, 4.92 seconds ahead of 2nd place. There is 6 minutes of the race left. All of the 8 teams are still close together. Positions could still change in these last 6 minutes. On lap 74, Rapscallions Nick got the final fastest lap of 44.88. Nick must be feeling under pressure as he has Daniel Powley behind him.
