12 teams competed in the race on this nice, bright and dry morning. This is the last race of the winter league championship so where each team finishes in this race could be fairly important.

Big Dave from team T.O.K.A, who started off in 3rd place, rocketed in to the lead within the first lap. What a great start! That must have been his personal best ever! He was about 3 or 4 kart lengths ahead of 2nd place Keith from team Batman + Robin.

A little bit of nudging and barging was going on in the first couple of laps but that is to be expected because everybody has to try and get a good start and gain some much valued places.

Rapscallions Pete just got knocked off on to the grass on the straight. Three karts were trying to go three abreast and that just doesn't work! They should know that by now!
The distance between 1st and 2nd place is getting shorter as the 2nd place team is catching up to 1st place.

Fastest lap by Nick from Rapscallions with a 49.70 on lap 9.

25 minutes have passed and Tyco have taken the lead with team T.O.K.A in 2nd - 6.99 seconds behind them and then we have superstar team DnD Racing in 3rd.

DnD Racing is a father and son team. They have progressed a lot this past year and are both now driving faster than ever before. It is the same with another father and son team - T.O.K.A. Before Little Dave used to be timid and a little slower but now he is quicker than his dad, Big Dave is! Well done to both of you teams.

Kolumbian Karthel were late getting here this morning and are looking a bit tired. Maybe this is why their driving isn't up to their normal standard and they are currently at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Half an hour to go and Rapscallions Nick is sitting on the tyres with a broken kart beside him. (Something to do with the track rod thread).

2 people are doing 1-hour solos this morning. They are: Malcolm from team Old Boys and Matthew from team Mushrooms. I am pleased to say that they lasted the entire race but in the morning they will be sore!
