This morning the race started dead on 10am.

Thomas Cooks Tom Arnold got off to a fast start from his pole position starting place.

Jed from Total Chaos has squeezed his way up to 2nd from 4th after just going round the first two corners. He's a fast worker!

On lap 2, Tom sent the bollards flying as he crashed through them going down the straight.
Tom's unfortunate little incident has given Jed the opportunity to catch him up and Jed is now only 0.40 of a second behind Tom.

Terrible Twos Tony has parked up on the grass, going down the straight. Don't ask how he got there because I don't know!

Boomerang's Stu is down to 3rd from starting in 2nd, 1.75 seconds behind.

On lap 4, Tom got the fastest lap of 49.25.

4 minutes have gone. Tom is now pulling long lengths away from Jed.

9 teams competing this morning. It is the last round of the winter series. There are 4 teams competing in the A League, Berti Boys haven't been for the past 3 races. There are 5 teams competing in the B League.

7 minutes have now passed. Jed from Total Chaos has come in for an early pit stop. He is not up to his usual driving standard today.

On lap 9, Tom got a new fastest lap of 48.58.

15 minutes have now passed. Thomas Cook are still in the lead, 8.21 seconds ahead of 2nd place Boomerang.

After their early pit stop, Total Chaos have dropped down to 3rd, 6.43 seconds behind.
4th and 5th overall are two B League teams, Bluff + Blunders and Dastardly + Mutley.

Team 10, B League team Odds + Sods missed the pit bucket at the end of the pit lane and their ball went running down the track. So they had to come in on the next lap and put it in properly!

Only 3 of the 9 teams are in the 48 seconds. Teams Thomas Cook, Boomerang and Bluff + Blunders.

Nearly 30 minutes have now passed.

Thomas Cook are still in first, 15.39 seconds ahead. As time goes by they are gradually pulling further away from 2nd place.

On lap 34, Tom got another new fastest lap with a 48.51.

Jed has crashed/spun twice in his 10-minute stint. What is he playing at?!

Boomerang have dropped down to 4th. They had an electrical problem, which wasn't anyone's fault, so they will need to have some time added back on at the end of the race.
Where everybody finishes today is vital because today it is the last round of the Winter League and they are all fighting for championship points and the trophies.

It has been a very exciting race this morning! Some of the drivers were a bit annoyed earlier on but all is well now.

Only 3 minutes to go and its tense!

In the end, Boomerang had 1 lap added on for their electrical fault.
