| Sunday 4th November 2007 1HR THUNDER LEAGUE Round 1 of the winter series Below is where the teams picked their grid positions to start the race: Pole - TOKA 1 - Big Dave and Little Dave 2nd - Rookies - David + Richard 3rd - Batty + Ratty - Phil + Keith 4th - Whacky Racers - Wayne + Olly 5th - Kolumbian Karthel - Luther + Joe 6th - Rapscallions - Nick + Pete 7th - TOKA 2 - Andy + Lee On the first practice lap, Little Dave from Toka 1 sent the tyres flying going down the straight, but he still managed to keep the kart going. Rapscallions were the fastest team during the 10 minutes practice. They had the fastest practice laptime of 45.15. Big Dave from Toka 1 got off to a good start. But by the loop going on to the new track he was down to 2nd place as Rookies David has overtaken him for 1st place. Big Dave is still right on his tail though and he is only 0.28 of a second behind him. Whacky Racers Wayne is riding on Toka 1's behind. Toka 2's Andy is up from 7th in to 5th place by lap 4. On the same lap, Whacky Racers Wayne gets past Toka 1. Andy receives a little nudge from Pete Rapscallions going down the straight which makes him go off on the grass, do a full 360 and get it back on the track again. That was pretty impressive! 6 minutes have gone. Kolumbian Karthel have just come in for their first pit stop. Now on lap 7 and Whacky Racers Wayne has just taken the lead. Rookies are down to 2nd, 0.75 of a second behind. Rapscallions are up to 3rd. Toka 1 are down to 4th. 7 and half minutes have now passed. Toka 1's Big Dave is patting the top of his helmet which means that he has had enough and he wants to come in. On lap 9, Kolumbian Karthel got the fastest lap of 45.49. 9 and half minutes have now passed. Wayne spun it and has lost the lead he had. He comes in with a look of disgust on his face. On lap 21, Nick Rodgers from Rapscallions got the fastest lap of 44.75. 22 minutes have now passed. Rapscallions are leading. Kolumbian Karthel are 2nd, 10.05 seconds behind. Toka 1 are 3rd, 3.68 seconds behind. On lap 42, Nick from Rapscallions got another new fastest lap of 44.60. He is the only one to be lapping in the 44 seconds. There are now 10 minutes of the race left. Toka 1 are in 4th place. Batty + Ratty are in 5th, 1.74 seconds behind. Rookies are in 6th, 4.52 seconds behind.
