We have 15 teams competing tonight and 8 of them are doing a 2hr solo. They are mad aren’t they?
15 minutes of the race have gone. Chris Woods is holding first place. Boys Toys are 2nd. Big J + Ben are in 3rd.
Most of the solo guys are coming in and doing early pit stops, on the first 6 laps. This then leaves them only one ball left for a fuel stop later on.
On lap 9, Dan + Sean got the fastest lap of 38.52.
Matt has just been in to put a ball in the pit bucket but he was too busy looking where the ball has to go in that he wasn’t looking where he was driving and ended up nose first in the tyre wall, near the traffic lights!
Half an hour has now passed. Chris is still leading and he is 16.73 seconds ahead. Boys Toys are still 2nd. Big J + Ben are still 3rd. Charlie + Colin are racing as a proper team tonight and they are doing well, currently in 4th place and they are 1 lap and 6.95 seconds behind. Dan + Sean are 5th, 0.39 of a second behind. RFH are 6th. Rookies 7th. Jamie 8th. Christian 9th. Matt 10th. Steve A 11th. Steve + Shane 12th. Asbos 13th. Nathan 14th. Tom 15th. I don’t think that Tom is in it to win it though. He is just running his engines in I think.
On lap 62, Sean got a new fastest lap of 38.83. They are the only ones lapping in the 38 seconds. The majority of the other teams are in the 39 seconds, with just a couple of them in the 40 seconds.
48 minutes have now passed. Dan + Sean have moved up to 3rd, dropping Big J + Ben down to 4th place, 13.38 seconds behind.
On lap 82, Dan got a new fastest lap of 38.76.
Nearly an hour has passed; Boys Toys are 1st, 15.79 seconds ahead. Dan + Sean are down to 2nd place. Chris Woods is 3rd. Big J + Ben are 4th.
Justin from team RFH has just clipped the edge of the tyres and is now sitting nose first in them as he has broken the track rod ends or something.
1hr and 17 minutes has gone. Dan + Sean are back in the lead. Chris Woods is up to 2nd, 5.54 seconds behind. Steve A has made it up to 3rd place and he is 1 lap and 1 second behind. Boys Toys are 4th. Big J + Ben are down to 5th.
Now 1hr and 37 minutes has gone. There is 0.35 of a second between 2nd and 3rd place, Chris and Steve A.
On lap 174, Dan got the final fastest lap of 38.69.
