| 22 February 2008 2hr ProKart Endurance Tonight we started off with 20 minutes qualifying. Below are where the teams qualified and their fastest qualifying laps: Pole – Aldridge – 40.54 2nd – Big J + Ben – 40.81 3rd – Boys Toys – 40.87 4th – Nathan – 40.92 5th – Asbos – 41.28 6th – Audi Boys – 41.32 7th – Rookies – 41.71 8th – Custom Rods – 41.94 9th – RFH – 42.30 10th – Matt + Shaun – 42.35 11th – Charlie Boy – 42.76 12th – A.K.C – did not qualify Aldridge, Nathan, Charlie Boy and A.K.C are all going to start the race at the back end of the grid. Aldridge and Nathan are just in this tonight to test their karts. AKC and Charlie Boy are in it for the fun. Ben Lambert from Big J + Ben got off to a flying start. He has Docky from Boys Toys right up his backside though. Audi Boys are up to 3rd from starting in 6th place. Asbos have made it up one place to 4th. Rookies are up from 7th in to 5th. These top 5 teams are all close together going around one part of the track. If they just happen to glance across to the other side of the track they will see that the lower 5 teams are close together too. They are going around the track backwards tonight. On lap 8 Aldridge got the fastest lap of 40.29. Matt from team Matt + Shaun has just had a bit of a crash down the bottom end of the track. He is nose first in the tyres and it looks like maybe he was going around there to fast, and didn’t make it around the corner. It looks like he just ploughed straight in there. 10 minutes in to the race and AKC has just come in to take his bright orange coat off. Maybe he thinks this will help him shed some weight and go faster?! Now 22 minutes have passed. Big J + Ben are still leading, and they have a 10.90 second lead over 2nd place Boys Toys. Custom Rods were supposed to be racing but it looks like maybe they have given up or something’s wrong with their kart as they are down the bottom of the leader board. 27 minutes now gone and Charlie Boy is doing well. He is up there in 3rd place. His mate AKC is down in 7th place after his extra pit stop to take his coat off! 3 minutes later and Charlie Boy has made his way up in to 1st place, 4.38 seconds ahead. At the 39 minute mark and Big J + Ben are back in to 1st place. Charlie Boy is now down to 2nd place, 10.24 seconds behind. Now at the 55 minute mark, some time has passed since earlier. Charlie Boy has regained 1st place, but he is now only 1.51 seconds ahead of 2nd place Big J + Ben. We are now at the 1hr and 1 minute mark. Charlie Boy is back in 1st place. Big J + Ben are down in 2nd. Rookies are 3rd. Boys Toys 4th. AKC up to 5th. Audi Boys doing well in 6th place. Asbos down in 7th. RFH are in 8th. Matt + Shaun in 9th. Custom Rods in 10th. Aldridge in 11th. And Nathan is bringing up the rear in 12th place. 1hr and 13 minutes has gone. Big J + Ben are back in 1st place, 51.05 seconds ahead of now 2nd place AKC. His mate Charlie Boy is just behind him in 3rd place, 42.88 seconds behind. Just 2 minutes later and AKC and Charlie Boy are in the pits having a water break! This racing around must be thirsty work. After a 7 minute break they both rejoin the race at the 1hr and 21 minute mark. Boys Toys are now up in to 2nd place, 27.85 seconds behind. 15 minutes of the race left to run, Big J + Ben are still holding 1st, 23.54 seconds behind. Boys Toys are 2nd. Asbos have made it to 3rd place, 28.62 seconds behind. Rookies are 4th. Audi Boys up to 5th. RFH are in 6th place, 2 laps behind 5th place. 10 minutes to go, Boys Toys are now leading, but they still have one more driver change to do. Big J + Ben are down to 2nd place now. 5 minutes to go and Boys Toys have still not done their last change. 2hr mark and the race is over. Boys Toys failed to do their last driver change so they will lose a lap which drops them from 1st place to 2nd place. Results 1. Big J + Ben 2. Boys Toys 3. Asbos 4. Rookies 5. RFH 6. Audi Boys 7.
