Tonight the teams picked their grids out of a hat, below shows where the teams started:

2nd – Rookies
3rd – Audi Boys
4th – Asbos
5th – Big J + Ben
6th – Boys Toys
7th – Sean
8th – Dan + Sean
9th – A.K.C
10th – Charlie Boy
11th – Steve + Simon

The bottom 5 teams didn’t actually pick their grid positions as they said they wanted to start at the back so this is where I put them!
Sean, Steve + Simon, Charlie Boy and AKC are not competing tonight they are just using this 2hr race as a test run for their karts. Therefore where ever they finish in this race they will not score any points.
On the first lap, on the top corner we have a 4 kart pile up. I think Matt Spragg from team Audi Boys kind of pushed Rookies David in to the tyre wall which caused the other two teams - Charlie Boy and Dan + Sean who were behind them, to just follow them in there full chap.
Anyway Rookies David goes off on to the square to sort his kart out. I found out that he hadn’t really broken anything. One of the tyres had gone on to the rim and it just needed to have some more air pumped back in to it.
5 minutes in to the race and Dan from team Dan + Sean hit in to the tyre wall on the top corner and managed to bend one of his stub axles and break a yoke completely off! So that’s not good. It looks like he has given up for the night and is not going to even try and fix it.
On the first 6 laps, Big John has come in to do 6 out of his 7 pit stops as he is racing solo tonight.
14 minutes of the race have now passed. Sean is in the lead. Tonight he is just testing his kart out and not scoring any points.
AKC’s Colin is in 2nd place. He has Steve Aldridge who is in 3rd place right up his backside and trying hard to get past Colin. At the minute the gap between the two is 2.30 seconds.
1 minute later at the 15 minute mark and team Rookies rejoin the race.
On lap 32, Boys Toys Docky got the fastest lap of 48.03.
5 laps later, on lap 37, Docky beat it again with a new faster lap time of 47.87.
Now 45 minutes have gone. Charlie Boy is up in to 1st place. His mate AKC is in 2nd place. And from where i'm standing it looks like they are having a good battle as they are swapping positions nearly every lap but then getting each other back at some point on the track.
On lap 54, Steve Aldridge beats Docky’s former fastest lap with a 47.21.
56 minutes have now passed. Boys Toys have taken the lead. Charlie Boy is 2nd, 38.91 seconds behind. AKC is 3rd, 0.58 of a second behind.
On lap 98, Boys Toys got another fastest lap of 47.14. Docky is well chuffed that he has beat Steve Aldridge’s fastest lap time!
Now 1hr and 15 minutes has gone. Boys Toys are leading again. Asbos have made it up to 2nd place. Big J is up in 3rd place and doing really well. RFH are 4th. Rookies are 5th. Audi Boys have had a lot of problems during this race but are in 6th place and doing well too. 7th is Dan + Sean but they have retired from the race so are in a safe 7th place.
1hr and 21 minute mark and Charlie Boy is back up in to the lead. Boys Toys are down to 2nd. AKC down to 3rd. Asbos 4th.
The race has now been running just over an hour and a half and we currently have 4 karts in the pit lane! These are, Charlie Boys, AKC’s, Rookies and Sean’s. A bit later and Audi Boys join them in there to with another problem.
Boys Toys have managed to do their entire driver changes this month! And they take the chequered flag to win the race with a 2 lap and 22 second lead over 2nd place Asbos.
