| Friday 14th December 2007 2hr ProKart Endurance Below is where the teams picked grids to start the race: Pole - Boys Toys 2nd - Stanberrys 3rd - Chris + Dan 4th - Big J + Ben 5th - Charlie Boy 6th - A.K.C As you can see above, Boys Toys started on pole. 4 laps in to the race and Docky from Boys Toys are still leading. He has a 4.58 second lead over 2nd place Ben from team Big J + Ben. Ben is up to 2nd from starting in 4th place. Dan from team Chris + Dan is holding 3rd place which is where he started the race. We have 1 new team tonight, Stanberrys. They started in 2nd place but are now down to 4th place. This is the first time they have actually raced their kart and they have only been up once to practice in it. So good luck guys! Charlie Boy and A.K.C's Colin are doing their normal early pit stops to get them out of the way, leaving just one for fuel later on in the race. On lap 6, Dan got the fastest lap of 48.45 They are now on lap 10 and Dan has just got past Ben for 2nd place. Ben is now down to 3rd, 0.75 of a second behind. 18 minutes have passed. The top 4 positions remain the same. Charlie is up to 5th. A.K.C is now down to 6th place. 30 minutes have gone. Chris + Dan are leading. Boys Toys are in 2nd, 5 and a half seconds behind. Big J + Ben are down to 3rd. A.K.C is up to 4th place. Charlie Boy is up to 5th place. Stanberrys down to 6th place. On lap 51, Dan got the new fastest lap of 47.84. He is currently the only one lapping in the 47 seconds. The other teams are in the 48 and 49 seconds. 45 minutes have now gone. Charlie Boy and A.K.C keep swapping 4th and 5th places amongst themselves. Big J has just had a little spin around going down the straight. He soon makes it back on the track though. Now 1hr has passed. The teams are now starting to do their fuel stops. The leader board currently looks like this: 1st - Chris + Dan 2nd - Boys Toys, 21.90 seconds behind 3rd - Big J + Ben, 2 laps and 32 seconds behind 4th - Charlie Boy, 46.51 seconds behind 5th - A.K.C, 1.32 seconds behind 6th - Stanberrys, 1 lap and 11 seconds behind So as you can see, Charlie Boy and A.K.C are the only teams that are close together. The others are miles apart. A little bit of action has just happened. It looks like Dan was trying to take a shortcut. He just went off grass tracking going down the straight. 1hr and 7 minutes has gone and Boys Toys have taken the lead. Chris + Dan are in 2nd, 1 lap and 1 second behind them. On lap 83, Docky from Boys Toys got a new fastest lap of 47.63. On lap 88, A.K.C moved up to 4th place. Charlie Boy is now down to 5th place. At the minute all the other positions remain the same. There is 27 minutes of the race left to run. Big J has just had another spin going down on to the straight. He did try to correct the spin but it was too late and he went veering across the track in front of Adam from Boys Toys. That must of shook both Adam and John up. But luckily Adam managed to avoid hitting in to John. Now 18 minutes left. Ben has just lost a wheel. He has 3 wheels on his wagon and is now parked up on the grass. He clipped a set of tyres which has resulted in the wheel being knocked off. At the same time, A.K.C has retired from the race with a stiff neck. Ben is now using A.K.C's kart to finish the race off in. Bless him. Just try not to hit any tyres this time. On lap 114, Chris + Dan got a new fastest lap of 46.88. They are the only team lapping in the high 46 seconds. Now only 6 minutes to go. Adam from Boys Toys is now grass tracking on the straight. He manages to get it back on the track, sliding around a bit but then just after he goes around the bottom corner he spins it again, leaving Chris from team Chris + Dan with nowhere else to go but to hit in to the side of him slightly.
