| Friday 13th January 2006 Kids 45 minute solo ProKart Race We had 9 kids racing in tonight's race. They are having to race by themselves (without the adults) tonight as we have about 26 people competing many of these being adults anyway. They are racing the 765 metre circuit configuration - and its a hot one! Being as it is very fast! I think they are racing on either slicks or wet. The braver ones of them are on slicks but it is looking slippery out there so wets might have been a wise choice. But lets see how it goes. We have two newcomers tonight they are Michael Keeley and Daniel
Bowman. Michael started off with us in our first ever kids klub and has now decided to
progress to this - as many of the others have like Smiffy and Jake. Daniel is a distant
cousin of my family somewhere along the line. He is here to compete with his mate Lee
Ashurst a.k.a Bad Lad Lee. He is a bit nervous but i think he is bound to be giving it his
all by the end of the race. Chris Woods has a problem. He goes off and comes back on again shortly afterwards. Could have been something to do with dodgy petrol his dad said. Bad Lad Lee is holding off Sean and Nick who are fighting for his 2nd place position. lets hope he can hold it there til the end as he wants a trophy! Fastest lap so far by Chris Woods with a 40.10 on lap 45. Daniel Bowman is holding it out there in 6th, despite only running on one engine. His dad, Karl, doesn't have the heart to bring him in and make him lose his place. So can he keep it to the end? Results 1 Dan The Man |
