| Friday 8th September 2006 Kids 30 minute solo ProKart Race Race 1 of 2 Pole - Jake Futter 9 kids racing with us tonight. Jake Futter was meant to be starting on pole but he didn't manage to get there in time. He finally started the race, 2 laps later because the bolt in his steering snapped which meant he wasn't able to steer the kart. Smiffy got off to a smooth start. Smiffy is still leading with Sean Haller in 2nd, 1.08 seconds behind. Now with 16 minutes gone, Jake is in the pits with the same problem as earlier. Chris Woods has only done 20 laps so something must have gone wrong somewhere at some point. Only 5 minutes left to go, Jake is in the pits again. Matt Spragg and Daniel Bowman are fighting for 5th and 6th places. This has been the best effort I have ever seen from these two. Great effort boys, keep it up! Nick Manias has edged up to 4th, 23 seconds behind Daniel Powley. Ashley Hornigold was doing well. He was up there in the top half until he had some spin around which dropped him to 7th out of 9. Results for Race 1 1. Smiffy Race 2 of 2 Pole - Jake Futter Jake Futter managed to start this race on pole. He shot away to a rocketing start. He left the others behind eating his dust. Only 4 minutes have gone and the red flag is being waved furiously and the race has been ended! Nick Manias had an accident but he is ok and he walked away after it. So the race is restarted at 8.30pm. Smiffy is leading so far, Daniel Powley is in 2nd, just 0.16 of a second ahead. Jake Futter is in 3rd and going very well. Daniel Powley is currently getting quicker on each lap that he does. 13 minutes have gone now, and Daniel Powley has taken the lead from Smiffy. This proceeds to drop Smiffy to 3rd. New fastest lap by Daniel Powley with a 41.36 on lap 15. Jake Futter is still in 3rd and going well, a lap and 4 seconds behind 2nd place Smiffy. Results for race 2 1. Daniel Powley |
