| Friday 20th October 2006 2hr ProKart Endurance 15 minutes qualifying is what we started off with tonight. These were the top 3 teams - Boys Toys, Sean + Dan and Bad Lads. After the qualifying they have to come in to the pits to get weighed and then to refuel. Boys Toys driver Steve Aldridge came in to get weighed and to refuel, during this time it reveals that he is underweight which is scandalous! It also means that they will be disqualified and put at the back of the grid (8th) instead of on pole where they qualified. It is the rules! So after the disqualification these were the top 3 teams - Pole - Sean + Dan Boy's Toys with a 39.94 did the fastest overall qualifying lap. Neil Gardner, Ady Gilham and Andy Bell didn't even do one qualifying lap as they were in the little pits with engine trouble. They did however manage to fix it in time for the start of the race. Daniel Powley from team Sean + Dan got off to a fast start. Karlos Rackys from team Bad Lads is maintaining his 2nd place start position well at the minute. Charlie Haller from team Charlie + Colin is in 3rd, right up Karlos's back bumper, only 1.45 seconds behind him. Despite not doing any qualifying laps and starting in 7th place, Ady, Andy and Neil are up to 4th after doing just 3 laps. Their quickest driver Neil started the race for them. Daniel Powley is setting the fastest laps so far, in the 39 seconds. The rest if the teams are in the 40, 41 and 42 seconds. We only have 8 teams competing tonight but hopefully the racing will be just as fun as always! Daniel has a 3.40 second lead over Karlos whose still in 2nd. Charlie, still in 3rd, 0.23 of a second behind Karlos. It is very close between them two. Charlie is finding it hard to get by him. Maybe it is because Karlos is being awkward and in the way. 6 minutes have gone. Boy's Toys do an early driver change. It doesn't matter when they do them or at what time they do them as long as each team has 7 balls in the pit lane pail at the end of the 2hr race. 7 minutes gone. Daniel is pulling away more and more on each lap. Charlie is catching up and nearly getting by Karlos on some points of the track. Now 10 minutes have passed. Charlie was brought in early. Probably because Karlos was holding him up! 19 minutes have gone by. Ady, Andy and Neil are in the lead. Sean + Dan in 2nd. Bad Lads in 3rd. Fastest lap by Sean + Dan, 39.79 done on lap 8. 30 minutes have gone by quickly but every team seems to be getting slower. All the teams' fastest laps were done early on in the first 10-15 minutes. There are only 3 teams in the 39 second laps - Sean + Dan (obviously), Ady, Andy and Neil and Boys Toys. 1hr and 10 minutes have gone. In first place we have team Charlie + Colin. 2nd place is Bad Lads, 13.04 seconds behind 1st place. In 3rd place is Sean + Dan, 35.35 seconds behind 2nd place. Ady, Andy and Neil are back in 4th place. Boy's Toys are not doing so well at the minute, and they are in 5th place. The Asbos are in 6th. In 7th is team Saga Tours, formerly known as team Chris + Crew. Finally in 8th we have team Tortoise Racing who have experienced a few problems during this race but they have fixed them and carried on! Good on them! There is 41 minutes of the race left. It is cold out there. Andy from team Ady, Andy and Neil just came in to the pits for no apparent reason so he got a mouthful of abuse from his team mates. He does another lap and then comes in to change drivers. What's going on there then? 36 minutes to go. Sean + Dan are back in the lead, 8.36 seconds ahead of 2nd place team Charlie + Colin. In 3rd we still have team Bad Lads, and they are a lap and 39.27 seconds behind 2nd place. A new fastest lap set by Daniel Powley, 39.71 done on lap 137. Now with only 10 minutes left. There is only 8.87 seconds between 1st and 2nd places. All 8 teams succeeded in finishing the race, which is a first for a long time. Well done everyone, keep up the good effort! Results 1.
