| Friday 9th June 2006 Kids 30 minute solo ProKart Race Race 1 of 2 Pole - Daniel Bowman Tonight we have 9 kids racing. Daniel Bowman feels the pressure of starting first on the grid and loses his concentration. (He should be used to it by now though.) He loses that little bit of a lead he had and gains a faceful of dirt after thinking his kart was an off road one! Matt Spragg, who started in 3rd, took the lead from Daniel Bowman. Matt currently has Bad Lad Lee behind him, just 0.16. It is so close. One very little mistake and he could lose it. I think this is the first time Matt has ever been in first, so good on him! Hot shots, Sean, Dan the Man and Chris all started at the back of the field and are now making their way up to the front end. 10 minutes have gone. Chris is on the grass with chain trouble. He comes in to weigh and goes off in to the square to fix it. At the same time, Daniel Bowman goes off dirt tracking in exactly the same place as earlier. 15 minutes have gone, Sean + Dan are just playing around and having fun amongst themselves. They are swapping positions nearly every lap. Smiffy has worked his way up to 3rd. Moving Lee down to 4th. Them too were having some good battles with each other for 3rd and 4th places too. Only 5 minutes to go, Chris Woods rejoins the race in 9th place and 22 laps down on 8th place racer Daniel Bowman (who isn't last for once)! I think he loses concentration after a little while and it affects his driving. Sean is the only one to be lapping in the 35 seconds. He got the fastest lap of 35.86 on lap 7. Results 1 - Sean Race 2 of 2 Pole - Chris Woods Bad Lad Lee was away to a very fast and smooth start. If he can keep focused and not get too bothered by it he should be fine! He has Sean in 2nd, 0.16 behind. Dan the Man is in 3rd, 2.08 seconds behind Sean. 10 minutes have gone; Sean has taken the lead from Lee. Lee is now in 2nd and Dan is hot on his tail. Nick Manias got a warning board for nudging Jake Futter off the track. Up till then Jake had been going well. Let's hope this incident just makes him want to get faster and be back up there and not put him off. Fastest lap by Sean with a 35.93 on lap 10. That was slower than his fastest lap in the last race though. 5 minutes left, Jake gets back up to where Nick is and overtakes him for 6th place. This proceeds in dropping Nick to 7th.
