Pole - TSR - with the fastest lap of 38.56 Boys Toys Docky got away to a good start from his 3rd place grid position. He was flying. He must have some rocket fuel in his engines. He got the fastest lap of 38.66 on lap 9. 11 minutes have passed and Tortoise Racing are in the pits. Their chain came off, making a horrible whirring noise. 22 minutes have gone. Karlos from Boys Toys is still leading. He is 0.20 of a second
ahead of Daniel Powley from team Sean/Dan. A lap later they both get stuck behind back
markers. 26 minutes have gone. Daniel has just now overtaken Karlos for 1st place. Karlos is still right behind him though, just 0.26 of a second behind. Daniel is going faster and Karlos is slowly drifting away from him. 34 minutes have gone. TSR are doing a very early fuel stop. They are probably trying out some new racing tactics. The weather, well it's very hot and muggy. The sky is partly pink where the sun is going down and the other parts are grey. Rumbles of thunder can be heard in the distance. Is it going to rain? Let's hope so! 1hr has passed. Boys Toys are now doing their fuel stop. Sean/Dan are still leading. Charlie/Colin are in 2nd. Boys Toys in 3rd. Tortoise Racing has finally rejoined the race after fixing their minor problems. Something to do with chains i think? They are currently 18 laps down on the leaders (Sean/Dan). And 3 laps down on 8th place team A.K.C. A.K.C are not having a very good race tonight! For a start they keep bending important things on the kart. They have probably spent more time in the pit lane than on the track, driving! 1hr and 17 minutes have gone. Charlie/Colin are now leading but that could be because they havent done their fuel stop yet. Sean/Dan are in 2nd, 27.34 seconds behind 1st place. In 3rd we have Boys Toys, 5.37 seconds behind 2nd place. So it's fairly close. New fastest lap by TSR with a 38.61 on lap 158. 25 minutes left. S.C.S Racing's Steve Pope is out on the grass. Sounds like one of his chains has dropped off. Only 5 minutes to go. Guess what! It starts to rain. The lap times are now in the 52 seconds before they were in the 38 seconds. It's a big difference! Daniel from team Sean/Dan took the chequered flag and did a complete 360 on the finish line. Dangerous but skilful and funny! Results 1. Sean/Dan |
