Adults 45 minute solo ProKart Race

Race 1 of 2

Pole - Keith Woods
2nd - Charlie
3rd - Richard

Keith Woods got away to a fast start. Richard kept behind him in 2nd and Charlie was behind him in 3rd.

On lap one, just before the start line there was a big crash! Pete Rodgers and Misfits Dave both somehow smacked in to the tyre wall by the traffic lights. What exactly happened i don't know because i didn't see it but i heard the bang - and it was loud! Apparently one of the two spun and the other hit him. That forced Pete to make an early retirement whereas Misfits Dave carried on, unhurt! Pete's stub axles were very bent after the accident. This made it impossible for him to rejoin the race. Hopefully he will fix it and take part in the next race, later this evening.

3 minutes have passed and Colin is in the pits. He goes out again only to come in again so many laps later. He was changing the set up because a couple of laps in to the race he got hit by Ady Gill which bent one of his stub axles, so he was trying to set that up again. I shouldn't think that it is easy to drive a kart with a bent stub axle. This resulted in Colin being 5 laps down on the leader already.

40 minutes have passed and we now have 5 minutes left. Charlie has taken the lead, with rival Docky in 2nd and other rival Keith Woods in 3rd.

Something has happened between Keith Woods and Misfits Dave. Next thing i know Keith is out of the race and down here, in the pits, shouting at the pit crew!

Adam from Road Runner is currently in 5th. He has driven well tonight; normally he is down the bottom end of the field - but not tonight! Him and J.H.Racing a.k.a John Hawkins were having a good tussle for 5th and 6th places. Adam was leading over him all the way though, because John just couldn't get by him! Them two are evenly matched so I'm glad they were having fun out there. In the end John was only 0.42 behind Adam.

We had Sunday League driver Nigel racing with us tonight which he hasn't done for a long while as he has been busy and hasn't had time to maintain and perfect his ProKart!

Fastest lap by Dave Misfits with a 47.00 on lap 39.

Race 2 of 2

Pole - Pete (Raps)
2nd - Richard
3rd - Ady Gill

Pete (Raps) away to a fast start. He must have fixed his kart after it got wrecked in the race earlier this evening. Now everyone is weighted it is making the racing a lot fairer. The heavier drivers among them now have a fairer chance of winning and getting a good position. This has pleased them immensely.

Nick (Raps) has moved up to the adult class tonight and for the rest of the season because he is now over 16 years old.

The transponder on Richard's kart is playing up. It could be because he has got it on his nose cone and it is vibrating (moving) a lot. But then again when Pete and Dave had that crash in the first race it was actually on the line where the pick up station is for the transponders to put the laps on which then show up on computer. So that could have been pulled out of the ground which in result can cause the computer not to put the laps on. So at the minute we are keeping a check on where Richard is currently running in the race. Even though not all of Richard's laps are going on he is still racing extremely well! At the minute he is 7th, just behind Keith Woods who is in 6th.

Only 7 minutes to go. Dave Misfits has taken the lead. Nick (Raps) is in 2nd and Docky in 3rd. But by the end of the race it could have all changed!

We actually have a joint fastest lap, by Dave and Docky with a 47.17. Dave's was done on lap 28 and Docky's was done on lap 42.
