Race 1

17 people entered tonight's race. These consisted of 7 kids and 10 adults. We have 2 fairly new kids in the race, Jake Futter and Jack. Plus two new adults - Banana Man a.k.a Michael Moss and Graham.

David Abrahams is unable to join us tonight due to having no clutches on his kart. (Without them you wont get very far!) But he did leave it until today to enquire about them so it is his own fault!

Nick got off to a smooth start followed closely by Sean, Daniel and Chris. Colin got up to 5th from his starting place of 9th. Sean is quickly closing in on Nick - he wont like that! But hang on, 5 laps later Nick is off! He is in the square trying to fix it. Some people (the spectators) are saying that his chain has come off. His dad Pete never got to start the race as his karts back end was chucking out a lot of smoke!

Sean takes the lead.

5 minutes have passed and Daniel is in the pits fixing his kart. It has something to do with the spark plug. He goes out, does one lap and is straight back in again because his chain came off!

Fastest lap by Chris, 39.02 on lao 6.

With 15 minutes gone, Docky is off the track and in the square but, something happened to his engines.

Newcomers Jack and Banana Michael had a collision which left Banana Man in the tyres.
Jake Futter one of the new kids on the track is doing excellent! He is currently 12th out of 17. At the beginning of the race he was a bit scared but now he is flying and there is no stopping him!

Newcomer Graham is out of the race. One of his engines wouldn't keep running.
Jake is giving some of the older guys a run for their money including holding his dad up. He is giving it his best and is succeeding!

Banana Michael is off in the depths of the dirt coming out from the bottom corner.

Just 7 minutes to go, what can possibly can happen now? Chris is now leading.

5 minutes to go, Jack spun, as he was giving it too much throttle! Daniel was close behind him. I saw bollards go flying. Next thing i know Daniel was backwards in the tyres, and keeled over the steering wheel. Luckily he was just eft winded.

Race 2

Starting in a reversed grid of race ones finishing positions. Daniel was on pole for the kids and Pete was on pole for the adults.

Keith started way back on the grid. He went right around the outside of the others and then clipped Steve's bumper and sent himself flying off on to the grass. Not gaining him any points or positions.

Banana Man is again going grass tracking next time he should have a grass cutter instead of a powerful prokart! Nick is out of the race after 10 minutes.

Daniel is hell bent to try and win this race. He did get off to a wicked start, but will it go all the way? We wil have to wait and see!

Its exciting! Yellow flags and flashing lights are on and being waved all around the 800 metre circuit.

Chris and Sean are battling for 2nd and 3rd places. Chris has been shown the nudging boards a couple of times now. Now all three of them, including Daniel are battling for the top 3 places.

In this 2nd race many of the drivers are being very careless and not watching out for the others in front and behind.

Sean has the fastest lap of 39.33 on lap 4.

Colin is taking up a new hobby - ballet! He is pirouetting as he comes out of the loop. Well at least he did a full 360 and landed facing the right way round.

12 minutes left and Banana Man is on the square. Maybe he ran out of fuel!

Fastest lap by Chris, 39.05 on lap 53.

7 minutes to go, Sean and Chris are tightly knitted together battling for 1st and 2nd place. There is 0.13 between them.

Only 2 minutes to go and it is so close! Chris tries to take Sean for the lead. He dives down the inside but Sean takes the racing line which ends up with Chris spinning himself out and dropping to 2nd! Leaving Sean to take the win!
