| Friday 16th September 2005 2 hr ProKart Endurance 5 teams and 2 solo efforts - Colin and Charlie are taking part in tonight's race. At the minute the weather is dry but it is cold! Abrahams has failed to turn up! He was practising on wednesday night. But i learned that he had had a horrible day at work, and didnt feel like racing, plus he got home late from work. After 15 minutes qualifying we had team Chris + Docky on pole, Team T.S.R on 2nd and Sean + Dan on 3rd. After the refuelling, just before the start of the race we had Charlie in the pits because he spun his chain off. That was quickly fixed and he was again ready to start the race! Chris got away to a rocketing start. he's being closely followed by Sean. And then it wrong! Sean was chasing Chris too hard. Chris braked going around the corner and Sean slammed his brakes on which spun him right around. And he ended up last! What a great start! Colin and Charlie like always are just out there tonight driving for fun. The spectators are saying that these two are the ones to watch if you are looking for a good battle or photo! Tonight they are racing for 2 hours on the 625 metre track - the old circuit. Most of the drivers are lapping in low 27 seconds or high/low 28 seconds. New fastest lap by Chris on lap 28 with a 27.03. Charlie is taking up a new part time hobby - ballet! Just like his battling friend Colin. It's not even raining and Charlie is off on the grass - pirouetting! Lots of dark clouds have started to come this way but they could just be the signs of night time drawing in earlier than normal rather than rain clouds. T.S.R's front nose cone is falling off. They might not have one at all soon! Tortoise racing were forced to retire after 45 minutes as one of their engines went kaput! Nearly an hour in to the race now. Charlie comes in the pits, followed by Colin. Charlie has a sore back and its hurting. Whereas Colin needed a toilet break! 'Michael Schumacher doesn't have time for toilet breaks' said one of the pit crew, Shelly. They later rejoined the race. Chris joins in the battle with Colin and Charlie. Chris has lost some weight which i guess is a new rage among professional kart racers! Lose weight and drive faster! Tortoise Racing have been loaned a kart - Daniel's to be exact. Well, as long as they are happy! Road Runners Tom and T.S.R's Simon have joined the chase! Docky + Chris are currently holding the lead. They are 10.51 seconds ahead of Sean + Dan. Sean + Dan take the lead. But Chris + Docky are just 1.09 seconds behind them. It is very close and there is only 22 minutes to go! 17 minutes left, and its close battling! |
