Race 1 of 2

17 karts lined up, ready and raring to go. Competing in tonight's race we have 4 kids and 13 adults. Rusty started on pole for the adults. Dan The Man on pole for the kids. Dan The Man got away to a fast start, pulling away from Sean Haller.

Rusty and A.K.C's Colin led the field for the adults league.

Weather at the moment is dry. However big, grey rain clouds are threatening overhead! Tonight they are racing a different 750 metre configuration. Its extremely fast and hairy!
A.K.C's Colin lets Keith Woods overtake him, god knows why because that little manoeuvre just lost him (colin) first place!

Adam from Road Runner took Chaos 1's Sean Sands out, down the bottom end of the circuit. Dirty play is not allowed in go karting.

3 out of the 4 kids - Sean, Dan and Chris are all together, nose to bumper, going round the track. Its very tight battling between them three. Nick, the other kid is somewhere behind them, he is going sideways around the corners which is probably losing him a lot of time.
25 minutes in to the race and many of the drivers are still all tightly knit together. Its better to follow others round because then you might learn to take better lines.

Sean a.k.a Chaos 1 looks absolutely petrified as all the other faster drivers rush by him. Being a kind gentleman though he is moving over to let them all by, so he doesn't get hit by them.

Fastest lap by Chris Woods with a 41.24 on lap 17.

5 minutes to go and Steve is on the grass! One of his engines has stopped, so he hops out, re starts it and off he goes again.

Mutley is holding out well in 4th place. His driving gets better each time he races, and the same goes for Steve, he is getting much better. Plus they used to be banger racers, so that says a lot!

Just one lap before chequered flag, Steve is in the pits. The silly plonker has run out of fuel completely!

Race 2 of 2

For the 2nd race of tonight, we again had 17 karts ready to go and race for another 45 minutes straight. Rusty was on pole for the adults again and Nick on pole for the kids. Both Nick and Rusty got away to a great start.

4 minutes in to the race and Docky is out of the race. He was forced to retire due to engine trouble. Then just one minute later Sean Haller was in the square fixing his kart. He had spark plug problems.

Its all happening and going wrong in this race! And in the first 5 minutes too!
Steve and Mutley are battling for higher positions. Steve is currently ahead of Mutley, but Mutley is trying his best to get by.

Richard is also out due to engine trouble, Guys get your engines sorted out before the next race please!

Sean Haller rejoins the race, but 2 laps later is involved in a crash with Dan the Man, which has bent his main axle. Therefore he cannot race anymore, as he either needs a new one, or it may be able to be straightened.

Rusty is now out of the race, more engine trouble!

Fastest lap by Chris Woods with a 41.33 on lap 12.

Dan the Man rejoins the race 5 minutes before the end just so he can finish 3rd and not last.

Thankfully for some the weather held out and stayed dry.
