| SundaY 17TH July 2005 3 Hr ProKart Enduro Race 7 teams started the 20 minutes
qualifying at about 5pm. After they had all been fuelled, they lined up in their
positions, did one form up lap and off they went! Team T.S.R qualified on pole with the
fastest lap of 26.87. They got off to a flying start. Charlie Boy's Chris Woods is 0.70
behind him. Bumper to bumper going around most aspects of the track. With nearly an hour gone one of Sean/Daniels exhausts fell off so their kart is making a hell of a rough when it goes by us! Weather is still hot and dry. A few clouds are now gathered, but i think the rain will hold off. It is still stiflingly hot! Team Charlie Boy have the fastest lap of 26.69 on lap 30. A.K.C are running well, having not checked their kart from the last race, (earlier in the month), so i guess it is still running well. Team mate Karolis Rackys is getting quicker on each lap but is still unable to beat team mates Colin's fastest lap. Well it is only his second prokart race so he's doing spot on! David Abrahams did come down to spectate but he just moaned about his kart being in bits because his team mate Mark didn't put the wheel on properly and as good as broke everything that end! With less than an hour to go, tempers are running high with both the drivers and pit crew. Now only 30 minutes left and Tortoise Racing are in the pits with a problem. 20 minutes to go and Team Gary too have a problem and are in the pits! They both get their karts sorted and go back out. But Tortoise Racing fail to keep theirs going. Now 9 minutes left and Team T.S.R are in the pits with a puncture. One of their tyres was all canvassed and it went pop! Charlie Boy has a problem with one of their engines. One won't keep running and something also to do with the plugs. Results |
