| Friday 7th September 2007 Adults 45 minute solo ProKart Race Race 1 of 2 Pole - Chris Dye 9 adults competing in race 1. Colin Thurnell and Chris Dye had a bit of an off on the first lap, down the bottom end of the track. Steven Knowles is currently leading, up from 5th in to 1st place. Asbos are up to 2nd place from 3rd. On lap 7, Colin has got up to 3rd from 9th place. He is 0.56 of a second behind. Charlie Cook is in 4th from starting in 5th, 0.48 of a second behind. Docky is in 5th from starting in 7th place. On lap 9, Docky got the fastest lap of 42.52. 11 minutes have gone and Asbos Andy is leading. Docky is now down to 2nd place, 0.46 of a second behind. In 3rd place is Steven Knowles, 0.18 of a second behind. In 4th is Colin, 0.29 of a second behind. Charlie Cook is now down to 5th, 0.24 of a second behind. On lap 18 Docky is back in 1st place. Asbos down to 2nd place. Simon Craig has come up to 5th place. Charlie down one more place to 6th, 7.48 seconds behind. On lap 23, Docky got another new fastest lap of 42.51. 3rd place Steven Knowles is 0.19 of a second behind 2nd place. Colin is in 4th, 0.22 of a second behind 3rd place. 5th place Simon is 0.23 of a second behind 4th place. 26 minutes have now passed. Docky is still in 1st place. Colin is in 2nd place, 19.13

4th place. Asbos are way down in 5th place. Charlie Cook is in 6th place. 7th place is Big
John. 8th place is Chris Dye. 9th place and bringing up the rear is newcomer Colin
Thurnell. 10 minutes of the race to go. The positions remain the same. Now 8 minutes to go. Docky has a 25.10 second lead over 2nd place Simon. In 3rd is Colin, 3.75 seconds behind The new guy Colin Thurnell is in 9th place and only 3 laps down. Docky takes the chequered flag with a 28.63 second lead over 2nd place. Results for race 1 ……………………………………………………………………………… Race 2 Reversed grid order from finishing positions from race 1 earlier Pole - Colin Thurnell For race 2 the adults get a treat they get to go around the track backwards. 8 people racing in this second race. Anyway Charlie Cook went straight in to 1st place on lap one. In the last race he had no brakes half way through it! Thankfully now he has some, well for a little while at least. Hopefully this time he won't have to use Colin Powley as his break! On lap 2, Colin got the fastest lap of 44.88. On lap 4, Charlie Cook got another fastest lap of 44.64. 4 laps later, on lap 8 Colin beat it again with a 44.56. 8 minutes have gone. Charlie Cook has a 1.83 second lead over 2nd place. But Colin Powley is gaining on him steadily and catching up on every lap. Steven Knowles is up to 3rd place from 6th. Asbos are in 4th, 0.53 of a second behind. Now on lap 14 and 12 minutes have passed. Colin has just taken the lead. Charlie has dropped down to 2nd, 1.04 seconds behind him. Big John has only done 11 laps and I can't actually see him out there on the track so where has he gone? On lap 17, Simon got the fastest lap of 44.36. 15 minutes have gone. Big John is now back on the track. I later found out that he had to come in and do emergency repairs on his seat as one of the seat bolts had come out! His butt could have been scraping on the ground! HEHE! 5 minutes later and the positions remain the same. On lap 21, Simon got the new fastest lap of 44.28. Now there is 21 minutes of the race left. Big John is bringing up the rear. 5 laps down on the leader and 4 laps down on 7th place Chris Dye. Now 16 minutes to go and on lap 37, Charlie has just got back by Colin for 1st place. Colin is now down to 2nd place, 2.55 seconds behind. The other positions remain the same. Colin is catching up to Charlie again; there is only 1 second between them. The gap is closing in on each lap. On lap 45, Colin overtook Charlie for 1st place. Charlie is now back down to 2nd, 0.56 of a second behind. 2 minutes to go, Charlie is close behind Colin so who is going to take the chequered flag?
