Tonight we have 9 teams competing. Included in this total of 9 teams is one new team called Team Dragon. This is the first race they have done with us so let's hope they get on alright!

At about 6.30pm, it started to rain and it rained very hard. The heavens totally opened up and everybody including the racers ran for cover!

The grid positions shown above are where each team will be starting the race. They picked their starting positions out of a hat tonight for a change. So it is a nice and mixed up grid.
Teams Charlie + Colin and A.K.C were the only two teams who didn't bother to pick a grid position as they like to start at the back of the field every race. This gives them a challenge as they then have to work hard to get up to the top end of the field.

By 5 to 7pm all the teams had been refuelled and were then lining up on the grid. But then Boys Toys Sam Smith found that his kart had a problem so he had to go off on to the square to get it sorted out. Apparently it was only a bolt had come off. So the race finally got started at about 7.05pm.

Ben from team Bad Lads shot off to a slippery start, aquaplaning over the puddles, which are sending him a bit sideways. He is pulling away from the others behind him.

Big John is holding his second place start position. He totally loves it out there! He was supposed to have a team mate come and race with him tonight, but this team mate has obviously chickened out because of the rain.

Charlie + A.K.C are doing their normal 6 early pit stops on the first 6 laps and then leaving the last ball for later, after the hour mark has passed for a fuel stop.

On lap 4, Daniel from team Dan + Sean is already up to 2nd place, 6.64 seconds behind 1st place Ben from team Bad Lads.

Also on lap 4, Ben got the fastest lap of 48.73.

Kevin from the new team, Team Dragon has done a couple of spins. He seems to be finding it hard to keep it on the track and going round the right way, clockwise - forwards!

10 minutes have passed.

Ben is now 7.12 seconds ahead. He is pulling further away from 2nd place Daniel.

Boys Toys Sam is up in to 3rd place. Rookies are down in 4th place. Asbos are down to 5th place. Team Dragon are still in 6th place even though he has had some spins.

Big John, Charlie and A.K.C are down the bottom end of the field in 7th, 8th and 9th places. But they have already done 6 out of the 7 pit stops so they should benefit from this nearer the end of the race.

On lap 14, Ben got a new fastest lap of 47.86.

20 minutes have now passed us. A.K.C's Colin is in the tyre wall. How did he get in there? I don't know because I didn't see it happen. I missed it!

22 minutes have gone. Karlos from Bad Lads is out there still leading but he is losing seconds off of his current lead.

Sean from team Dan + Sean is now only 2.33 seconds behind Karlos.

Now 25 minutes have gone. It is very close between the top two. Sean is 0.88 of a second behind Karlos who at the minute is still holding 1st place.

On lap 31, Karlos lost the lead and Sean is now in 1st place, 2.27 seconds ahead.

Big John is up one place from 7th in to 6th place. Keep up the good work John boy!

Lap 34, Sean got the new fastest lap of 47.77.

We are now at the 30 minute mark; Sean has now pulled away from Karlos and is 4.93 seconds ahead.

Everyone or nearly everyone has now done another driver change.

On lap 41, Daniel got the new fastest lap of 47.30.

2 laps later on lap 43, Ben Lambert beat it, putting in a 47.19.

The clock says that 36 minutes have passed. Ben Lambert has caught up to Daniel and is now only 0.86 of a second behind him. So if Daniel makes one little mistake Ben could steal the lead.

Colin from A.K.C and Charlie are at the back end of the field and still down the bottom end of the leaderboard. That doesn't bother them though because they are having a good battle amongst themselves. That is when they can keep it on the track! They seem to be spending a lot of time on the grass and in the tyres at the moment.

40 minutes have passed. Ben has taken the lead from Dan again. But Dan won't let him get far away. At the moment Dan is right up his behind. There is 0.25 of a second between them.

2 minutes later and Big John is proving to be a good roadblock! The top two teams are trying to get by him but John is in the middle of the track.

Boys Toys are still holding 3rd place. They have been there for most of the race so far. Asbos are in 4th. Rookies are in 5th place. Big John is maintaining 6th place. Charlie + Colin are in 7th. A.K.C are in 8th. In 9th place is Team Dragon.

Team Dragon are now in the square with a problem. I eventually found out that one of their engines conked out and they couldn't get it to go again. So I'm guessing that they took the engines to pieces and they finally found out that a rocker had cracked off of it.
45 minutes have gone.

Colin from A.K.C just wiped out going around the top corner. I don't think he is trying his hardest out there. But him and Charlie are racing on different tyres so it might be that the tyres are useless in tonight's racing conditions!

On lap 56 Ben got a new fastest lap of 46.90. He is currently the only one lapping in the 46 seconds. But everybody seems to be getting faster so I'm guessing that the track is drying out.

52 minutes have gone.

Sean from Dan + Sean is back in the lead. Karlos is now down to 2nd place, 2.41 seconds behind.

56 and a half minutes have passed. Charlie Haller has just totally wiped the tyres out going down the straight! He must have either came around the corner too fast or there wasn't any grip there. Well at least he has given the Marshalls something to do for at least 5 minutes!

1hr and 1 minute has passed us.

Colin is in the tyres again. When he finally got pulled out of them he was laughing his head off and so was his mate Charlie. Them two are just out there to muck around tonight which is fine. There isn't much point in them trying hard because the tyres they have on are useless in these conditions.

Now 1hr and 3 minutes have gone. Asbos Steve Bransby just went out of the pit lane for his 15 minute stint. But the next thing we know is that he has pulled up on the top corner. By the look of it one of his engines isn't running as he is trying furiously to get it going again!

4 minutes later and 1hr + 7 minutes have passed. Dan + Sean are now a lap and 18.12 seconds ahead of 2nd place Bad Lads.

1hr and 15 minute have gone.

Rookies are now up in to 3rd place. Boys Toys are down in 4th place.

2 minutes later. Asbos do another driver change and again one of their engines conked out but luckily this time they was still in the pit lane so his other team mate could start it up for him.

Now 1hr and 21 minutes have passed. Colin spun coming around the pit entrance corner and Charlie was right behind him so Charlie ended up hitting in to him. Their faces are thick black with muck. They will definitely need a bath when they get home!

Now there are only 16 minutes of the race left. It is getting really dark out there. So the floodlights have been put on. It is going to chuck it down in a minute!

On lap 130, Ben got the final fastest lap of 44.42.

2 and a half minutes to go. It is all exciting! There is 2.33 seconds between 1st and 2nd at the moment.

In the end Sean takes the chequered flag. He won the race and had a 3.88 second lead over Karlos from Bad Lads who finished 2nd.
