| Friday 6th April 2007 Kids 30 minute solo ProKart Race Race 1 Pole - Daniel Bowman Bowman started off on pole. He managed to get off to a smooth and fast start. I didn't actually recognise his kart because he has put brand new black pods and black everything on it! Anyway, on lap one Matt Spragg took the lead. He is flying! He has already pulled ahead a spacious lead over 2nd place Sean Haller. When Spraggy arrived tonight he only had 3 wheels on his kart. So it was lucky that we had the spares he needed to fix it to be able to race! Sean Haller is up to 2nd from starting at the back. He is 2.23 seconds behind 1st place driver Spraggy. Smiffy has dropped down to third, 0.27 of a second behind. So there isn't much between 2nd and 3rd places. Daniel Powley is up in to 4th from starting at the rear of the grid somewhere. Daniel Bowman has dropped down to 5th, 13.53 seconds behind 4th place. Jake Futter is in 6th place. He is right up Bowman's backside. There is only 0.12 of a second in it between the two. Jake is trying his hardest to get by. Then on lap 9, Jake got by Bowman and then Bowman did a malicious thing and nudged Jake off! So on the next lap round Bowman got a warning board. He also got a big dent in his brand new black front bumper! Daniel Powley got the fastest lap of 45.42 done on lap 6. 11 minutes have passed. The positions remain the same as how I stated them to be earlier on in this report. On lap 17, the other 4 drivers lapped Bowman and Jake. More minutes have passed and Jake has now caught back up to Bowman, 1 second behind. But then Jake spins, by himself, and loses a lot of time, giving Bowman a chance to get further away, again! 18 minutes have passed. Spraggy is down to 4th. Sean is now reigning 1st place. Smiffy is back in to 2nd place, 0.49 of a second behind 1st. Daniel Powley is in 3rd, 0.13 of a second behind 2nd place. 24 minutes have now gone. Daniel Powley is up in to 2nd. Smiffy is down to 3rd, 0.43 of a second behind. Only 1 minute and 12 seconds to go. Bowman has just had another warning. That is the most warnings we have ever given out in one race! Results ……………………………………………………………………………............................. Race 2 They are like always starting off in a reversed grid. Pole - Jake Futter Only one minute has gone. Matt Spragg is up in to 1st place from starting in 3rd place. Bowman dropped down to last - 6th place right at the beginning of the race. I'm not quite sure why he dropped right to the back though! Sean is up in to 2nd, 0.24 of a second behind. Daniel Powley is in 3rd, 0.19 of a second behind 2nd place. 6 minutes have passed. Smiffy is in 1st. Sean in 2nd. Daniel Powley in 3rd. Matt is down in 4th, 0.53 of a second behind. On lap 10, Daniel Powley got a fastest lap of 45.56. Then 7 laps later, on lap 17, Smiffy beat it, only just, with a 45.55. Jake and Daniel Bowman are driving better this time. Jake is in 5th and Bowman is in
6th. Only 7 minutes to go. The positions remain the same as earlier. Sean is only 0.20 of a second behind 1st place Smiffy. Can Smiffy hold 1st place for another 6 minutes? Now only 2 minutes to go. The top 3 are still very close together. Will the positions change? The answer is no! Results |
