Tonight we had 8 teams enter the 15 minutes qualifying. These were the top three and they will therefore be starting on the top 3 places, pole, 2nd and 3rd.

Pole - Sean + Dan - with the overall fastest qualifying lap of 41.l35
2nd - The Woods - with their fastest qualifying lap of 41.66
3rd - Boys Toys - with their fastest qualifying lap of 41.87

Sean Haller from team Sean + Dan got off to a flying start and they are still leading the pack now.

2nd place starters, team The Woods, a father and son team are right behind Sean, 0.56 of a second. It is very close. It is crucial to try and get up as many positions as you can in the first minutes of the race.

Saga Tours Duncan is up one place to 4th after qualifying and starting in 5th place.

8 minutes have gone, Charlie + Colin have just done an early driver change. They could be trying a different race/team tactics.

Bad Lads Karlos is up to 4th after starting in 6th.

21 minutes of the race have flown by. Charlie + Colin are up to 5th from starting way down in 8th (last).

5 minutes later, Charlie + Colin are up to 4th, dropping Bad Lads Steve Futter, down one place to 5th.

Kid racer Ben Cook is racing tonight with his dad. He is using this race as a practice run, so he is ready for next months solo races.

Fastest lap by Chris Woods with a 41.26 done on lap 21.

50 minutes have passed. The top 3 positions are still the same. Sean + Dan are in 1st. The Woods are in 2nd. Boys Toys in 3rd.

They are also the only three teams to be lapping in the 41 seconds. The others are in the 42 seconds and one team in the 43 seconds.

For the entire race so far, team Rookies have managed to maintain 8th place - last!
After 52 minutes, Rookies done a flying lap and finally managed to break in to the 42 seconds - wahey!

An hour has nearly passed and thankfully so far the rain has held off. There were a few spots just after qualifying had finished and whilst the refuelling was taking place, but they soon ceased.

58 minutes have now whizzed by. Bad Lads have dropped from 5th to 8th. I eventually found out that they had acquired a puncture. After about 6-7 minutes changing it they rejoined the race.

Bad Lads are saying that their kart isn't up to scratch and is slow anyway.

1hr and 13 minutes have passed us. Sean + Dan are down to 3rd, after doing a fuel stop.
The other 2 teams The Woods and Boys Toys have moved up to 1st and 2nd places.

8 minutes later, Sean + Dan have managed to mosey their way up to 2nd. Dropping Boys Toys back down to 3rd, where they have been for the majority of the race. So for now, The Woods still hold 1st place.

Minutes later it starts to rain. Not very much but it is just enough to make the track a bit slippery.

Half an hour to go. Bad Lads are still bringing up the rear. They are 8 laps down on the leader and 2 laps down on 7th place team, The Cookie Crew.

Now with only 12 minutes to go, the top 3 positions are back to how they were before Sean + Dan did their fuel stop.

Team the Cookie Crew move up to 6th. Little Ben has their team's fastest lap of 42.07, which was done, on lap 10.
