| Friday 2nd February 2007 Kids 30 minute solo ProKart Race Race 1 Daniel Powley started on pole for the first race as he finished last in January's race due to engine failure. 9 kids started the race. This race got away with no incidents occurring. After 4 laps, Daniel Powley was flying in front, miles ahead of everyone else. All the boys are racing well. All trying they're best. Keep it up lads! Number 28, Spraggy somehow spun, even though the track is fairly dry and he had numbers 57 and 44 off the track with him. But they soon all recovered and got down to the nitty gritty! Number 57 is a new racer, racing with us tonight. So at the minute he is just getting used to the track layout. There should have been 11 juniors racing in all but two of them didn't make it to the start of the race. Don't know why! Daniel Powley got the fastest lap on lap 4, very early on, with a 32.26. The other four beneath Daniel who is currently leading are also in the 32 seconds. The others are mainly in the 33 seconds. Newcomer David, number 57 and another newcomer Nathan Reed number 45 are going a bit slower than the rest, but like I said earlier they are new to our track and have got to get used to it first. No other major action happened as the race neared the end. Results - Race 1 ……………………………………………………………………………............................. Race 2 For the kids second race we had 10 start. Daniel Bowman managed to start this race this time round. They got off to a nice clean start. No argy bargy or anything which is good. After a little while Jake Futter is in the lead. He is doing great, totally flying. He is now on his 5th lap and he is now catching up with the back markers. Spraggy, number 28 has now taken the lead. He has Smiffy, number 31, right up close in 2nd. Daniel Powley in 3rd and Sean Haller in 4th. After a little while, Daniel Powley moved up to take 2nd place and he is now chasing hard to get the lead. But as of yet he hasn't got it. Daniel Powley is still pushing (not literally) Spraggy to get first place. Oh no, Spraggy has spun! The pressure must have got too much for him. So now Daniel has the lead and can relax a bit. Daniel Powley got the fastest lap of 32.13 done on lap 13. The 4 drivers beneath him are also in the 32 seconds. Matt Spragg has done his fastest lap of 32.18 and that is the seconds fastest lap overall. I'm pleased to say that the two newcomers have got faster in this second race. Keep going boys!
